A Showa-era wooden house built in the 1930s (or earlier), where a young family of four lived for several years after World War II, beginning their life and career journey in Tainan City, Taiwan.
Built in the 1930s during the Showa era (or earlier), this modest Japanese-style wooden house on Beizhong Street, Tainan, sheltered a young family of four for several years after World War II as they embarked on their post-war life and career adventures.Nestled between the vibrant pulse of Tainan Railway Station and the sacred local community of Fulong Temple (福隆宮), the residence witnessed decades of daily life, bustling alleyway chatter, and Tainan’s urban transformation.
This 3D digital heritage preservation project created by Elements Lab (實驗元素工作室), reconstructing a Showa-era wooden house in Tainan, Taiwan, and reviving the everyday memories of the 1960s.
Dedicated to my best friend’s parents.
